When Little Elvis was born in Mississippi on January 19, 1935, no one expected him to have such a voice. The son of a farm laborer and a textile worker, he grew up in a loved and cared for home. His first singing experience was in the church choir and even there he became a minor star. Influenced by many styles, the king of rock developed his style and particularly aroused the ladies with his highly erotic hip movements during his performances.
