During a trip with friends in 2005, Rudolf Doppelbauer, current managing director Austroducks , discovered rubber ducks for the first time. In a shopping center in Beijing, he held such a specimen in his hand for a long time, fascinated, but did not buy it. A few weeks later, on the occasion of his 40th birthday, he received this rubber duck as a gift from his traveling companions. A passion for collecting was born...

In January 2010, a day before the wedding of a couple of friends, the "Duck Dad", as he is now lovingly called, was lying in the bathtub and wondering if anyone had ever conceived his own rubber ducky. During the festivities, he told his friends about the idea of ​​representing Mozart as a rubber duck and was very well received.

As a trained waiter who has worked for many years in leading establishments in Salzburg, you have no idea about starting a business, but you have a wide circle of friends and of knowledge that actively supports you to this day. Mr. Rudolf's former apprentice, Clemens Mayr, designed Mozart's first duck and still designs Austroducks rubber ducks today. Iris Schweinöster is responsible for product photos. But the family also helps a lot, niece Anna takes care of social networks and nephew Maximilian checks the feasibility of ideas.

And this year 2020, the company is celebrating its 10th anniversary. 10 years of rubber ducks linked to Austria, 10 years of sustainability, 10 years Austroducks.

When we designed these bath ducks, it was important for some that They bring joy and happiness to people of all ages. Our squeaky ducks should look good, feel good and float properly and upright! And they should, as you would expect from a good bath duck, be made of latex and not be made from PVC.

latex is a natural product that even the little ones can have fun with. Babies discover the world with big eyes, and in the first months they like to explore with their mouths. They literally devour their toys and chew anything they can get their hands on.

While many bath ducks are made of PVC which contains dangerous softeners for health, Austro-ducks are manufactured entirely without the use of softeners and solvents . They are hand painted with latex colors during manufacturing and are therefore ideal for young children.

We also only use environmentally friendly materials for the packaging of our ducks bath. We believe that small businesses also have to take responsibility and are therefore determined to design our products to last.
